India successfully test-fires nuclear capable Agni-V
a) India Succefully tested its “Agni-V intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM)”.

Govt launches Swachh Swasth Sarvatra initiative
a) Government of India has recently launched the “Swachh Swasth Sarvatra” abhiyaan.
b) The aim of the abhiyaan is to strengthen the health centres in “open defecation”- area.
c) The scheme will be launched in 708 open defecation free blocks across the country.
Cabinet approves ordinance to make possession of old notes penal offence
a) The Central Government has given GoGreen signal to promulgation of an Ordinance to make a penal offence for possessing a large number of scrapped banknotes.
b) This ordinance will be implemented from 31st march, 2017.
c) It will be considered as criminal offence.
d) The criminals will be charged a monetary fine of 10,000 rupees.
e) Otherwise the criminal will be charged five times the cash held, or whichever is higher.

b) It is observed on the occasion of the birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
c) He turned 92 this year.
d) Under Good Governance campaign, the programmes with key Government initiatives are focused and promoted across whole country.
e) Some of important issues are delivery systems, to promote digital transformation and promote connectivity revolution in all sectors.
Former IAS officer Anil Baijal becomes next Delhi Lt Governor
a) Anil Baijal has taken over the Ex Lieutenant governor of Delhi Najeeb Jung to become next Lt. Governor of delhi.
b) Mr. Baijal is a 1969 -batch IAS officer as the next Delhi Lt Governor.
c) Baijal has served as home secretary in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee ( Bharatiya Janta Party) government.
d) Delhi’s former Lt-Governor Najeeb Jung submitted his resign on December 22, 2016.
e) His tenure was supposed to end in June 2o18, but he submitted the resign 18 months before the end of his tenure.
Meghalaya will be the host of National Games 2022
a) The Northeast state Meghalaya will be hosting the National games of 2022.
b) Meghalaya grasped the bid for hosting prestigious 2022 national games with its 50 years of statehood.

a) The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully flight tested the Smart Anti-Airfield Weapon (SAAW).
b) The Venue of the testing the Integrated Test Range was Chandipur in Odisha coast.
c) The weapon targets with high precision and covers a range of about 100 km.
d) One Indigenous designed featured in SAAW is precision-guided bomb.
e)The Weight of the bomb is 120 kg.
Lucky Grahak Yojana, Digi Dhan Vyapar Yojana launched

a) In order to promote Digital transactions.
b) Government of India has launched Lucky Grahak Yojana for Consumers and Digi-Dhan Vyapar Yojana for Merchants to promote digital transaction.
c) The schemes are aimed at encouraging people towards higher usage of digital transactions.
d) In the presence of finance minister Arun Jaitely the first Lucky Grahak Yojana took place.
e) The name of the 15 thousands winners were also announced on the same day.
SBI adopts village of Maharashtra for Aadhaar-based payments

a) India’s pioneer bank “State Bank of India (SBI)” has adopted “Shirki” village.
b)The shirki village is in “Pen taluka” in Maharashtra.
c) In order to promote the Aadhaar card-based merchant payment this initiative has been taken by the bank.
d) Under this scheme, the merchants of the village will be provided with simple android phones ( The phone will have inbuilt feature of fingerprint capturing).
Salman Khan launches his app ‘BeingInTouch’ on his birthday.
a) On the occasion of his 51st birthday Actor Salman Khan has announced the launch of his app, ‘BeingInTouch’, on Twitter.
